Bringing a vibrant and convivial atmosphere to Hamilton Island, the exciting Race Week celebrations also provide a unique camaraderie between racers and spectators alike. The Hamilton Island Yacht Club and marina is where all the action of the regatta kicks off with a lively calendar of events held throughout Race Week including golfing competitions, fashion shows, wine tastings and gourmet meals by celebrity chefs.

Racing is divided into a number of categories including a Grand Prix class for the top racers, an IRC Passage class for the fast modern yachts, sports boat and performance racing classes as well as corporate, cruising, non-spinnaker and bareboat divisions. Most recently, SB3 and Superyacht divisions have also been added to make the event even more exciting and dynamic.

Set on the outskirts of the stunning Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is surrounded by the picturesque Whitsunday Islands and is the ideal location for Race Week. Already a popular holiday destination, Hamilton Island offers a huge range of activities, unique flora and fauna, gourmet food and wine, amazing coral reefs, crystal waters, pristine beaches and of course, spectacular weather. All this and more makes it the perfect place to host Race Week.
