Be Brave on Hamilton Island

16th April 2018

Between June 22 and 25 this year, Australian celebrities including Celeste Barber, Megan Washinton, Ian Thorpe, Paul de Gelder, Jessica Rowe, Dr Kate Baecher, Vanessa Stoykov, Stephanie Somebody and Krysle Wright will help island guests face the ultimate bravery challenge in the Hamilton Islands debut BRAVE Weekend Workshop.

Commencing with an inspiring Breakfast Panel Discussion featuring four of Australia’s most renowned talent, guests will enjoy breakfast with a view of gorgeous Catseye Beach as they listen to the panel discuss how they took their first steps to testing their potential.

Hamilton Island has carefully curated three unique itineraries designed to motivate and inspire guests to overcome their fears and achieve their dreams. 'Deep Dive' includes an introductory SCUBA Learn to Dive course with EXPLORE Hamilton Island where guests will gain the founding skills in SCUBA diving. 'Skyfall' partners with Eagle Rock Adventures to introduce you to the basics of abseiling as you fly against the backdrop of the island’s hidden coves. At its completion, you’ll be equipped with the skills to complete a 60-metre abseil from the roof of Hamilton Island’s Reef View Hotel. 'Lionheart' is a carefully developed schedule of activities and talks designed to help participants take courageous steps.

Over the weekend, all guests will participate in a number of group panels and discussions around the idea of bravery, complemented by a beautiful evening of paella under the stars, daily yoga and an Amazing Goodie Bag on arrival.

“Hamilton Island has hosted a series of events in the past designed for guests to push themselves in paradise, and BRAVE is no exception. We are looking forward to welcoming guests to Hamilton Island for the event in June and hope they walk away from their time at BRAVE feeling like they can achieve any monumental challenges they may have been considering,” says Hamilton Island’s Glenn Bourke.
